Been paper trading Bitcoin & ES for the last 4 days. Scalping with a size I'd never handle in real life, ie. 20-40 contracts. So it's not something I could ever replicate. Nevertheless, a useful exercise.

Tradingview is good in that it replicates real trading. If only 10 contracts are available on the offer and you buy 40 at market, it will look at the DOM and figure out your entry price as it would be IRL. Same with exiting a position. So it's quite realistic.

I had a two trades where I scaled in with up to 80 contracts, which of course no one would do unless they were big hitters (or insane). And I sat through two hot periods where I was -20k. Again, not something I'd do IRL.

I've included every trade taken, but not brokerage. For brokerage, $5/trade would be approx. -$500, perhaps a lot more depending. Total "profit" over 4 days was $100k. 101 trades. Win rate was above 90%. Most heat was 20k, but in general about 2-3k.

The real challenge is to turn this into reality because paper trading is vastly different to real trading in terms of handling emotions. If you have TV, I recommend giving it a go.
