Thanks afternoon crew.
End-of-day wrap:
A late rebound averted a third day of falls after the share market slid to its weakest level in two and a half weeks.
The ASX 200 finished 14 points or 0.19% ahead at 7325 after trading as low as 7286.
The rebound trimmed the Australian benchmark's first losing week in a month. After a positive start to the week, the index rolled over to a loss of 78 points or more than 1%.
Healthcare firm ResMed and Afterpay's US owner Block were the biggest drags today following trading updates.
US futures rallied ahead of jobs data tonight as well-received corporate earnings from Amazon offset a rare miss from Apple. S&P 500 futures firmed almost 0.5%.
Sounds like there are a few traders with something to celebrate this week, so we'll get the weekend started with a "zesty margarita". Recipe here. Cheers.
