BTW, when younger I would jog 6km around the Uni Qld. In season, always at the same place, a magpie would swoop. Carrying a light stick and holding it up while continuing would forestall an attack. While on sabbatical in France, there was a similar problem with an Alsatian dog who would get overexcited and run at me, much to its owner`s amusement. So, I would carry a stale baguette (very hard when stale) and wave it at the dog who always p----ed off. That must have amused the rest of the villagers! Jogging with a stale baguette ..... .
