Yeah I took it more that she was defending the Muslim couple who were just sitting there minding their own business and copping abuse for no good reason.
Though afterwards I did read the guy made religious assumptions about the abuser by posting on his facetwit page:

I'm of two minds, on the one hand the silly old woman had no reason to abuse the couple in the first place BUT any good deed has been eclipsed by the media storm-in-a-teacup-as-usual and the Muslim guy crying about 'racism'. So, yeah, whatevs.
