wow - what an interesting thread - watso has google searched various issues raised on responses to the matter of the first post.
it could be, that in the end, robyn williams was suffering from the early stages of parkinsons disease .. it also seems that he was a keen cyclist... exercise is good - but maybe it does not stop parkinsons disease ... interesting because both watso's father and his sister had parkinsons disease - so it must be genetic.. watso's father was lucky that he had a devoted wife and a devoted son (the daughters lived donkey miles away).
lol - with a bit of luck, but watso will keep on posting on HC for another 20 years. indeed, when watso eventually looked through the emails of an ex wife, she wrote to an overseas friend, that watso would live until he was a hundred...
OMG - just imagine watso posting on HC for another 20 years!!!!.... no big deal really, because watso used to be a ravenous reader of newspapers - and when at university would be there at opening, and read all the newspapers ...ok - no longer at university , but the internet provides all the reading which is required.
one thing about the internet, and not buying newspapers, is that there is no longer a pile of newspapers in the laundry - papers that one thinks that they will look at later on and also the internet stopped waste newspaper collections - all good stuff, when watso had a ute and helped his kids to raise funds - and also to distribute phone directories . lol - but watso never realized how many friends he had until he purchased a ute... anyway, but delivering phonebooks involved the whole family - and also raised money for the local youth group
