the bills are pretty horrific l think now we are closing in on $25k in 6 months. we are on track to hit $30k in another year.
if we didn't have basic insurance we would be severely stressed... even then you pay for consulting fees once you are over $250 and we have seen (get this) 9 vets.
I am amazed when one vet suggested sone more blood work. now? omg ... "no" why? I am not being disrespectful and am really grateful but more tests? anymore illness and l think that's it.
shop around for supplies. the same supplies can be 25% of the cost at another place. an MRI will cost $4500 spinal trap $500 scans are hundreds and we had 4 all showing the same thing.
the kids don't do it easy (no heating for one) and to see us spend thousands on the pets they must mutter.
we did get sone stuff donated and some vets sent changing we are grateful but it's horrific. get pet insurance make sure it is high. we went RSPCA pet insurance and they didn't increase premium.
