    30 years ago l was pretty "ruthless" believe me... then l changed did a complete 180 the other way. If l wasn't an atheist l'd say it was karma a massive change.

    you have a good point. I said to one of the 9 vets (a specialist) that l want the dog to be comfortable regardless of whether the dog had 2 years or less. comfortable at all costs, the vet was very positive and l felt guilty.

    the misses reckons when the dog looses its sight that's it. I think it's play by ear the final vet is an older bloke like me so l hope his guidance is practical. if the animal shows troubling signs we will stop after we have given every pain killer a good run.

    the dog is a rescue, she was not mentally right when she was rescued. damaged she could not cope with being outside, open spaces, certain noises. has had it tough and we want her to just be happy with the remainder of her life.

    we had the basic pet insurance RSPCA insurance has been great and the vet's terrific. I tell everybody for gods sake get sone pet insurance. things hurt but pet insurance is worth it
