Rem, a cycle is a cycle. Be patient. It is there. Rate of change is NOT accelerating.
Considering the Arctic is supposed to have been ICE free by now it really should raise an eyebrow that they have recorded multi year ice growth. but keep that quiet please!
As for the chart REM. Go for GOLD and show us the summer extents. I would not be to worried about ice melt in Autumn to Winter scenario. Ice melt. Seriously mate. it is not going to happen!
In fact pull up a time series. That is really getting difficult to find one these days. They all seem to be some obscure chart where it difficult to get perspective as a timeseries would give you.
Best I can get from MAISIE is this and it stopped providing data in 2016
