iSignthis claims to have a world first, global, highly scalable and fully remote identity and transaction authentication system that can combat fraud and assure merchants selling online that they really are dealing with the person they think they are.
The company already has significant contracts in Europe.
The “blue sky” for iSignthis is that from February next year, all internet payments in the European Union (EU), plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Monaco and Lichtenstein will be subject to Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).
iSignthis reckons its patented system will make it easier for payment service providers to meet the new standard.
