Hi Timber and all,
I am so please you are taking my advice and getting out more. While traveling try and act like a normal person and not a banker, talk to people waiters bar men and such like, ask how business is going and are they doing better since the GFC. Inquire about electricity costs and other things how’s the local job market the price of cabbage etc.
This will give you a view of life as others see it and if you see some poor soul with a begging bowl try dropping a few coins into it believe me as even a cold hearted Banker will feel better for this small act of charity. By the way I dare say you won’t be aware of this but when you give a few coins away like this for charity you may not get a receipt for your tax accountant.
Showing that little bit of humour like that shows there is at least a little bit of generosity in you maybe even a banker can retire!
Travel safe my friend and have an enjoyable holiday and accept my best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
Cheers and very best regards: Andy
