This is by far the biggest problem in Australia and is unrelated to Muslims or a single Somali refugee taking action over a dog.
There are Australians that do far worse things every day to people over less.

Totally illogical.

I have 2 large black German Shepherds. There are very few Muslims where I live (fortunately) but the odd one I see certainly gives them a wide berth.
