Makers of SANDWICH BAGS will make a fortune out of this.
Just picture how many will be needed to keep the mobile phones of the surf board crew dry
as they apply for their 40 jobs a month.
Around 2 hours on the first day of the month would cover 40 genuine calls,
then the rest of the month, free to do what they like.
Don't even need to apply, just say they did, centre link will have no way of knowing if they
apply for a job or not. Businesses won't be keeping records of any or all applications.
What's going to happen if they 'cut' someones payment? They WILL look for other
avenues of income. Aged pensioners would be the most obvious, easy target.
They are already. This applying for 40 jobs crap is going to create more problems
than it is worth.
Then you will have the other side of the coin, where someone is genuinely 'out of work',
and actually looking for work, that will through the usual inefficiency of centrelink,
have their payments 'cut', and will have to go to the expense of having them reinstated.
Wonder if Qantas, for example, will have to have a "JOB APPLICATION" number
for all the budding pilots ring up for a career?
What about the ones that can't speak English? After all our National Language
used to be English, I think.
Then the ones that made a centrelink career out of breeding?
After making their 40 calls/applications, wouldn't be able to work in any case, if they got a job,
as they have to stay at home and look after the kiddies, that they have been encouraged and paid for,
to have in the first place.

"Then you will have the other side of the coin, where someone is genuinely 'out of work',
and actually looking for work,"...................Their applications will unfortunately be thrown in the bin , lost amongst all of those that should not have actually applied for that job in the first place.
Does anyone know which "brainwave" in our parliament came up with this little gem ?
