I think relationship do challenge their assumptions about roles. especially if the partner is not a compliant, silent housewife. Actually to be honest even then it doesn’t help because often these men like someone with a bit of spunk and then dislike the lack of control.
I do hope that younger men and women navigate things more effectively. But there are also more cross cultural relationships as well. These too bring enormous challenges
