interesting ,,,, agree it will probably be a protracted war rather than a swift resolution to peace and elevated oil prices. The war is saving the economies of oil dependant nations of OPEC/OPEC+ . A world in conflict is in their interest..and spells an era of heightened turmoil
Another historical precedence thats played out is that when ever the world is in a dire economic situation, war has been the solution to economic renewal... thinking of the great depression as the foundation to WW2 ,and then the Marshall plan to rebuild Europe especially Germany and Japan into modern industrial powers. Cant help being cynical that thinking that the giant US multinationals are already staking their right to rebuild a decimated Ukraine.
