Many will recall that the NT Government in 2015 leased the Darwin Harbour to Chinese interests for them to manage for 99 years .
That was even dopey & stupid & shortsighted back then when we had a better relationship with them.
I read today that there is talk in Federal Parliament to terminate this agreement .
The politicians who allowed this to happen in the first place should have their respective heads examined in my view and be named and shamed .
It was said the price paid to the NT Govt. was $500 million for the lease .
No matter what the price Governments may get to lease such infrastructure we should not be , in my opinion , letting anyone let alone a dodgy country like China have anything to do with managing our assets such as the Darwin Harbour. Hopefully the PM and Federal Govt. Will terminate this lease .
