I don't think you were the only one who might have seen the wisdom in covering. That 100 point spike on the DOW's open was completely not warranted on any fundamental basis.
Over the next few days I think the fog might clear a bit. I will be very surprised if the DOW et al resumes its previous onward and upward trajectory. I am expecting instead more wild swings each way .... and then one day a massive plunge.
