not necessarily about having been rejected. Can be about not getting something they want. Or about being a failure. Or about people liking the woman, or … or.
while the manifestation is roughly the same the causes may be very different. I still don’t know how someone who strangled their partner and then says they were careful ( whatever that means) can then somehow tell themselves they have not done anything. Or found some other justification.
I know there are also some very common patterns or behaviours across abusers. Content may be different but there is sufficient that is similar to be able to identify these patterns.
