    Melbourne has more than 200 Kilometres of aqueducts and the leakage in the system has not been addressed to get get the flows back to where they should be ,not only are the aqueducts leaking there are some that are not working and could be brought back into service.
    The Labor government had a number of options and fixing leaks in the system should have been first followed by recycled water,capture and treatment of storm water and then bringing old dams such as Tarago into service.
    Desal is is an issue because the Liberals supported a plant one third the size of what we have and would have not been such a drag on tax payers.
