Some info from the company (via an email) last year:

"The El Palmar concession does not overlap with the Los Cedros Protected Area. It did historically but we have relinquished a portion so that there is no overlap.

There is no direct impact on Sunstone or the El Palmar concession from the Constitutional Court ruling, although that ruling has resulted in a change required for future (not retroactive) environmental permit approvals.

We can continue exploring at El Palmar as we have been doing. It is also important to understand that there is an existing small gold mine immediately west of El Palmar that has operated for many years, and continues to operate and have good relationships with communities in the area. We also enjoy very good relationships with the communities in the area.

Sunstone currently owns 70% of the company that owns the El Palmar concession (the company is called Golden exploration or ‘GOEX’). Sunstone can move to 100% ownership with a cash payment to the vendor of US$2mill at any time up to July 2024."
