if I were a German, besides potentially freezing my ass off, I'd be pissed at my Gov't.
1. Did they really think they could put sanctions on Russia re the Ukraine on the one hand and expect them to supply them with energy via the Ukraine on the other?
2. I'd be asking how those wind farms in the North Sea are working out for us

If I were Polish, I'd be wondering who my friends will be. Can't trust Russians (or Ukrainians), Germans, Turks, Arabs, Chinese,....
And people wonder why US wants energy "independence" (from imports). Trouble is those Bbls that were going to the dependent Americans now need to find a home somewhere else .... and thats a lot of oil.
And just on (nat) gas, that also takes away oil demand for transportation and heating (you be surprised at how much heating oil is still consumed in US).
