This is a really good high level walk through E&P and numbers "magic" - at least up until the appendices when it gets numbers heavy (@Rob79 - I think you'll like it a lot). It's very straightforward easy reading.
I don't have the "energy" (pun intended) to contrast say SSN in the same spotlight - maybe Rob79 will find it possible (or maybe Acreage if its intriguing enough ...)
Einhorn - Hate him or love him, agree or disagree he certainly has both a sense of humor and a very direct way of challenging numbers - all of which are publicly put out by the companies.
Made me think twice - although 95% of my E&Ps are not pure play shale oil companies like PXD. Must read piece of research IMO - even if just for the (substantiated) contrarian view.
