i pointed this out a while back, i doubt they will let people rack up 3 months worth of power if EV is mass adopted. crypto technology like power will be able to handle billing.
the point made on road tax is a darn good one, no govt is gonna go without that tax money, especially greens, so id say there will be some work in that space once they figure out there shortfalls. some benefits that ev does bring will save money, but show me a govt that could manage savings?
Also supply of vehicles, countries who subsidize first will be priority suppplied imo. also the third and 2nd worlds may emerge as massive consumer, all those motorbikes that dont do big miles may be supplied as an EV, why get whooped on range fighting bigger vehicles when there's a huge amount of transit style vehicles in all these countries.
