There is an enormous chasm between suicide in the young and middle aged , due to LIFE ..and the desperation of the ( mainly elderly , ) terminally ill to either live with dignity ...or not.
So many elderly fear , greater than death , ending their life in a hospital bed with no bodily control , no sense of control of ....anything.Reduced to babies.People who lived Strong lives.
We treat our pets better.
I think most of us make way too big a deal of this whole -being born-dying thing , we call life.
It is so infinitesimally absurd.Scientifically , why get attached to something ( a body ) that is just so perishable. The moment we are born we carry a used-by date.
INFINITY before born...then ....microscopic speck of a life.... then ...INFINITY after death.
What's the big deal ?
If we lived for , say , millions of years , ....then , it all changes ,... but ever so slightly.
