I agree, they would have taken all aspects of the geography into consideration. There would be factors not even mentioned on HC that would also play a role.
Nothing is guaranteed, but Saprolite clay is present. Rare Earths are all through the vicinity. ENV Pocos could buck the trend with results along the Caldera perimeter.
I also agree CODA is promising. I'm sure if POCOS had no prospect then the resources would be allocated to CODA, so obviously there is something less obvious driving the decision.
