I do not usually post in EUR threads but I thought the discussion on EIA was interesting. It was always my thought that an EIA was not necessary because of the size of land and after reading the article Gartenfan posted it literally states this:

"Community wants “legally binding agreements”In any case, an EIA would have to be carried out for land use of ten hectares or more. The operating company's project is just below that, at first 9.9 and now 9.6 hectares. The affected community of Frantschach-St. Gertraud would have party status in such an EIA procedure and is striving for this. Mayor Vallant insists on legally binding agreements that would also be valid for any legal successor."

Is this not clear that there is no EIA requirement?

To me this reads like the Mayor wants an EIA done but it is not required and this would explain why EUR haven't been more informative to the mayor about it.
