..now it looks like a reversal with lithium juniors turning to gold instead now that lithium has entered winter hibernation.
Delta Lithium's Mt Ida is likely to switch to gold production because lithium is the focus at Yinnetharra. Also confirms that 10Mt deposits are unlikely to be economical at present price levels. This also means the lithium supply from My Ida won't be coming online anytime soon.
..lithium holders would say that curbing supply would be good news for lithium pricing.
..but this merely reflects that lithium miners would need to enter a period of winter hibernation similar to what gold juniors endured after the gold bull ended in 2H 2020. It could take a couple of years and could be more protracted if the global economy enters into a recession.
