Buying a Tesla is becoming more and more affordable with each passing month. The average price of a used Tesla is now down to a record low of $31,173. That's 54% below the average price from just two years ago

Two things we can infer from this chart:
1) Consumers under the pump could now more afford a used Tesla than a new one
but more importantly
2) The rapid decline in resale value of a Tesla EV could prompt consumers looking to buy a new Tesla to wait and see.
Both of which would not help improve the pace of growth of EV uptake in the US.
And now with the 100% tariff on Chinese EVs coming into force, there would be less need for Tesla to further reduce the price of its new cars domestically.
Sadly for the Tesla team, Elon Musk could have avoided sacking his Tesla 2 engineering team, the $25k affordable version of Tesla if he only knew that Biden did what Trump would have done.
