Waffle said.........."If we are cleansed of sin by the blood of Jesus why would we have any need to confess our sins? If Jesus literally died for our sins then that's it, let's party, because all the work has been done by Jesus. We can do what we like.
That Jesus chose to die for us to bring His teachings to us offered us an opportunity to free ourselves of sin. That is the meaning. Nobody can literally die for to remove the sins of somebody else."

Pretty much the most common attack on the doctrine of salvation by "grace alone" ....... that it encourages sin. Basically as you have said, “If I am saved by grace and all my sins are forgiven, why not sin all I want?” That thinking is not uncommon but the result of true conversion is that it creates a greater desire to obey, not a lesser one. God’s desire for us and our desire when we are regenerated by His Spirit—is that we strive not to sin!

Out of our gratitude for His grace and forgiveness, we want to please Him. God has granted us His infinitely gracious gift of salvation through Jesus (John 3:16......For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that whosoever should believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life).

Our response is a "natural" submission of our lives to Him out of love and gratitude for what He has done for us (Romans 12:1-2 ...Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.).

Antinomianism ("against the law" as it is known) is unbiblical in that it misapplies the meaning of God’s gracious favor.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin.
