You only have to looks at it's specifications. F-35 is a family of single-seat, single-engine, all weather stealth multirole fighters designed to perform ground attack, reconnaissance, and air defense missions. No other aircraft has stealth deep strike capability like the F-35 or the variations and ability like STOVL and Carrier.
And no other aircraft except the F-22 can challenge the F-35 in BVR air to air combat and that certainly includes any 4th gen aircraft the Russians have. Pak-Fa doesn't event exist except for a couple prototypes and isn't stealth anyway.
F-35 has air superiority capability close to the F-22, exercises with the F-22 vs any other aircraft including Typhoons the F-22 dominated when able to utilise it's prime design assets of stealth and BVR combat.
"Two other German officers, Col. Andreas Pfeiffer and Maj. Marco Gumbrecht, noted in the same report that the F-22's capabilities are "overwhelming" when it comes to modern, long-range combat as the stealth fighter is designed to engage multiple enemies well-beyond the pilot's natural field of vision - mostly while the F-22 is still out of the other plane's range. Grumbrecht said that even if his planes did everything right, they weren't able to get within 20 miles of the next-generation jets before being targeted."
Even the F-15 still dominates any other aircraft in air to air combat and with a proven record and the F-22 and F-35 are advancements on the F-15
