17 hours agoLet us do a scenario building exercise on the question of the F-35-EMP bomb story.
(1) What would be the time of the day? Not in broad daylight where commercial satellites are busy capturing images. So pre-dawn or late night hours. So not many civilian witnesses.
(2) The Russian base in Syria would have 24×7 radar watch over the skies. Perhaps they also have a satellite watch interfaced with their S-400 battery. And both would have image database for every configuration of every kind of aircraft. They would have standing instructions on the default course of action built into their integrated command and control software with nuclear weapon carrying aircraft being very high up on their list.
(3) Any such standing instructions would be accompanied with red alerts going to various standby forces and also up the chain of command. First order would be to get special forces airborne and heading towards the aircraft.
(4) It would be certainly possible to approach, patrol and secure the area for the arrival of a retrieval team. Operational Security level would be at the highest.
(5) Within hours of the first detection of nuclear armed aircraft, Putin or the Security Council would have hands on control on the situation.
(6) This incident would have a very high value as a blackmail rather than as a quick retaliation from which experienced spin-masters would wriggle out easily. That would also explain the leak to Pepe and the deafening silence from everybody. The very fact that there is absolute silence in MSM on Pepe’s claim means something. IMO it means uncertainty and fear of something going horribly wrong in case of an innocent misstep.
(7) Capture of Gary Powers in 1960 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1960_U-2_incident) comes to mind. One wrong peep from anybody in the West and the world is presented with proof that Israel tried to nuke Iran. No amount of spin can wash that away. No amount of financial clout from the Jewish lobby can counter that.
(8) So, the story is not over at present. They are building suspense. Maybe trying closed door diplomacy with some tough negotiators.
