Moondoong, I reject your assertion and that of reactionary politicians attempting to label The ABC as left wing; IMO that's absolute rubbish and part of the excuses Tony Abbott promised would never be made by his government. The ABC is required to deliver balance - as demonstrated by the Panels on Q&A and the list of people interviewed on programs including 7:30, Lateline and Insiders.
IMO your second statement that we now have more information from government than ever before is not substantiated by the facts.
For example; there is almost NO information permitted out of detention centres and staff therein now face up to two years in jail for providing any such information. That the media is feeding on leaks from Abbott's own Cabinet comes as no surprise; it now appears to be their main information source.
