A sincere thanks to the above regarding losses on DML. Yes $40K for me...started averaging down from 60 cents a year or so ago. Dangerous practice that and another lesson learn't.
Surprisingly don't feel too bad as I have said before never have all eggs in one basket. I was surprised how many folks did have a big punt on DML and held no other 'safe' stocks.
Golden Rule I reckon. Keep 50% in cash. At least 30% blue chips (dividends) and only 20 % max for specs/
Also wise to diversify spec portfolio. Have fingers crossed for OBJ and PAA and RSG as well as AVB of course.
