I don't think Albanese has gone far enough. He proposes 250,000 per year, that's huge.
We need very few highly skilled migrants. We need to increase wages for waiters, fruit pickers, etc to entice our own unemployed to take the jobs.
Australia produces a certain income through Iron ore, coal, gas and agriculture. More residents just mean less GDP per person.
He should drop it to 25,000 selected solely on the basis of benefit to Australia. Stop the mail bride racket, stop the foreign "student" racket, stop family reunions, stop "refugees".
