Cost will be a big consideration for sure. There would also be some big numbers of arrays to charge large numbers of batteries in reasonable time.
Not that they couldn't be transported there from elsewhere. That seems to be the expectation with renewables, people expect price savings everywhere, and forget about the reason this is happening. The cars are getting cheaper so the running of them will also need to be.
Perhaps swap out will not be an option for the family ev as a few in here suggest, I don't know enough about the structural issue. It sure seems to make sense though.
