    "Every moment of our lives as adults, having been trained in the most excellent of educations is surrounded by questions, to which we either answer yes to, or no to, or have so much apathy that we don't even realise a question is being asked."

    Well Kam yes it is very difficult to accept that free will for an ordinary human is completely illusory.
    In fact religions and society must claim it exists ... despite clear evidence it doesn't, as it is needed to justify desired social behaviour and obedience to the laws.

    However, the "excellent education" as with rewards and punishments is precisely what provides the help required to emulate free will.
    Similarly, a harsh and strict totalitarian regime "helps" citizens to make a "free" choice to comply or suffer the consequences.

    Otherwise such measures would not be needed.

    It is also not impossible that a degree of free will might be developed depending on many things including how attached a person is to their "excellent education".
