Hi OldGeo,

Given the original Target Horizon was largely based on GAL's discovery i.e. didn't include the sediments/dolerite and was generally located several or more metres above the sediment contact - I think it's fair to assume a bit of a graphical oversight/slip-up with the line placements, and it should have looked more like this:

Also in fairness, I think the diagrams were probably devised to show the general intent, rather than trying to be anything too detailed or highly specific, at this early stage.



However, it does remind me a little of GAL's discovery hole location in their announcements - showing a big red star quite a bit further north than the actual location. Further away from the CNJ/GSR boundary. That was sloppy, too.
