The GDP figures should reflect the productivity of the existing population.
The outer suburbs of our cities are becoming slums. The accomodation units there have blocks of less than 500m2. The roads are dolly size, third world laneways. Families living like rats in a box. This is not the life our pioneers wanted for Australians.
Infrastructure built up over generations is being milked. No new dams, overcrowded hospitals and public transport. Over population is the real threat to our environment.
Population growth is not the way to a wealthy country. Look at Bangladesh or India. Look at Switzerland.
A pox on our politicians, we never voted for this.
