    The short answer to your question is: nothing, because you will not be a shareholder anymore once the company goes private.

    In case of a takover bid the bidder intends to acquire all shares (100%). So all shareholders will receive an offer, let's say: 60c. If the bidder manages to acquire 90% of the shares, then he will be able to compulsorily acquire the remaining 10% of the shares. So you will be forced to sell for 60c in case you haven't accepted the offer before and the holder (bidder) has acquired 90%.
