I don't see how range is going to be a huge issue here. To some yes it is definitely a factor but not to the majority. EVs will serve their purpose even if its with the cities. Most house holds don't own huge cars for long road trips or for towing, and if they do they don't use them for what they were intended for, they're mainly hatch backs or small sedans, the rest are all for show not utility to practicality. Take for example all the utes and 4WDs clogging up our streets here in Sydney, most look like they've never been taken on a job site or on a dirt road let a lone off road or a lond road trip. I'd go as far as even saying there are more smaller cars used to commute to work or shops etc that there is larger cars. Go to any school pick up or drop off around here you'd think you are at a luxury 4wd car meet with all the audis, mercs and beemers but all the drivers are schools mums who barely venture out past a 15km radius from their homes.
