Thanks for that - I'll need to seek advice on the best option. I'm winding down my consultancy business with a view to formally ceasing employment in the next 12 months or so, I'm an old bugger you see - 62 in 2 weeks time. Our SMSF already had a fair bit in it (term deposits, other investments) even before WA1 headed for the stars, but WA1 will translate into a much more comfortable retirement. The timing for me to formally cease employment might be dictated by how I can handle WA1 in the SMSF more than anything else ! The vast majority of my WA1 are already past the 12 months CGT discount period, with only a few purchased later not quite across the line yet.
