I am skeptical about the lithium price tripling by the end of the year.
Although the production figures for EVs have increased, many of them are simply being dumped (Tesla - Fiat etc.).
So you can always find pictures where hundreds of EVs are just standing in a meadow.
There are reports from Germany about this.

Many car buyers are currently being lured by discounts on combustion engines, but are forgetting that the cost of fuel will continue to rise (CO2 certificates - OPEC will probably announce another cut in production this year?). On the other hand, electricity prices are falling because the share of renewable energies is increasing and their cost profile is significantly better than that of fossil energies or nuclear power.
