I fully expect to see the tariffs implemented in the EU as well as the US.

I would have to say that the CCP are partly (at least?!?) to blame for this outcome-

For decades they have been stealing tech and intellectual property from the west.

For years now they have been providing & obscuring subsidies to their own manufacturers particularly in the EV space

For decades they have been neglecting the environmental impacts of their manufacturing

For decades they have been exploiting labour to produce cheaper products.

For years they have been controlling and manipulating input material pricing

For decades they have been using economic coercion to achieve political gains

Their current path appears to include expanding their controlled landmass

is it really any real surprise that the world would sanction the results of their efforts?
