"Large amounts of visible gold is discovered, then seperately stockpiled on the ROM pad, its then blended with lower grade ore as mill feed. But if the mill hasnt got a gravity circuit then a large percentage of that gold ends up on the tailings dump.

SO why would the visible gold end up in the tailings as would not the visible gold be ground up and go through the CIL circuit in the same way as the lower grade ore where the gold should be recovered???????????????
Guessing lack of residency time , but is not mixing of low grade ore and higher grade ore to prevent silting ?

    I agree with owlie
"Another thing is the way some people, who should know better, can forget/confuse the difference between drilled intersection and true width of mineralisation."

Agree totally another slant on that is where true mineralisation is recorded but in drilling of pipe and dyke formations where drilling at the same angle as the way the formation dips then reporting the is like pre-ordained fraud.
