Correct me if I am wrong but the finance situation has been dragging on well over a year - it was announced back in June 2013. Awoonga is correct there.
The problem as I see it (the drag on financing) is not exactly stock-specific to AVB. I think there is MASSIVE caution out there about financing resource projects. It is the sector.I think that is why it is taking so long.
When bank lenders look at projects to finance or a syndicate to participate in I am sure there are lots more attractive/less risky propositions that come across their desks than resource projects in teh post-China boom.
