All Russia had to do was stop pumping gas.Other factors that will affect a German recovery are other European countries drifting into recession territory. eg the UK is now in a recession and they were Germany's biggest customer for automobiles. A recent test of UK trident missile test failed with the missile striking the water close to the sub that fired it. The Tridents are built in the USA. Meanwhile Russia has registered modest growth again and getting stronger. That coking coal plant they just took was the biggest in Europe. Some report it as beyond repair, but I think they will rebuild because coke from that plant is used in steelmaking in steel plants around what is now Russia, including the Azov plant.
