Yes I agree and have been posting exactly that for over a year I guess it is now. I first posted the amendment to the Comex rules some time ago and still have a copy of that amendment.
The players in the Comex can swap interest in the Comex for interest in another similar ETF or ETP.
Which means they can swap the position for a GLD position or cash as well. But if the customers want physical then they will take it out of the GLD and some still force the issue in the Comex.
Hence my previous post about watching the GLD when the December squeeze on the Comex happens.
