I'll say this, there is a depth of 100m more ice in the location of the planes.
Why is there 100m of ice on top of planes that landed there in WW2?
I will also say this. There has been a variability in ice on Greenland for periods of time that extend long (long) before internal combustion engines and coal fired power.
