Melbourne's population to double (8 million) by 2050. Sorry I just can't see how property prices will fall over a sustained period. Compare this number to London with the population of 8 million people already and one bedroom apartments selling for £700k or 1.3million aud and nothing within 1hr of London cbd for less than 1million Australian.
I'd love to see property fall as I only rent but have started buying rural property (Euroa + surroundings) for investment yield & hopefully capital growth
