It took me a while to get my head around what US hegemony really entails. But I now see that it means, among other things, the self appointed right to control prices of all commodities, precious metals, and currencies.
It's a complete stranglehold system overseen and protected by an aggressive overpowering military/industrial system. Every other nation is expected to conform to Washington's wishes.. Any semblance of a friendly face is a ruse. This is where Obama is perfect for the job. He talks the talk but is powerless to walk the walk.
This explains why the U.S. Is reacting so badly to China as it attempts to assert legitimate influence in its region.
China and Russia will be repeatedly provoked, but they understand not to react militarily, but to wait and watch as the Western debt economic catastrophe enters its death throes. Only then can the World hope to be released this system which was designed to favour the U.S. Ruling Clique over the rest of the world.
