Telling evidence of Euro economic sickness is the negative interest rates, emergency measures which were introduced long before the Ukraine "crisis".
Now the economic woes of the EU are compounded by higher energy costs and therefore rampant inflation, as the the Euro depreciates ever faster.
With the US Fed raising rates, no-one wants the Euro, so there is a capital flight into dollars.
Down goes the Euro.
It's hard to see any future for the Euro and the European Union. Another 5 years should see it broken up into it's component countries again..

In the medium term the eu and or euro will break up as France and or Germany will want to pull out
